Voice weight is the number of points at which the current rating of a task or solution changes. The greater the weight of a user’s voice, the more it can affect the ranking of tasks and solutions.
Rating is the most important indicator of user activity and credibility on YouDo. The algorithm to calculate rating is based on many factors, and is most heavily affected by user activity on the site, the types of user actions, and time spent on different resources. The assessment that measures the relationship between different site users does not affect the rating.
A task has several stages:
These status messages keep you updated on the progress of a task or solution. The statuses change as a task is opened or closed, as solutions are added, or as winners are chosen. Here is a quick guide to the status messages you may see above different tasks and solutions.
Task Statuses:
Solution Statuses:
Task authors must choose the winner(s) within 5 days of the expiration of the task. If, for some reason unrelated to YouDo, the author of a task does not pick a winner, the prize shares will go to the solution authors with highest-rated solutions.
In a non-shared task (a task with only one winner), the prize will automatically go to the solution author with the highest-rated solution.
In a shared task (a task with multiple winners), the prize shares will automatically go to the solution authors with the highest-rated solutions. If the number of solutions with positive ratings is lower than the number of shares in the task, solutions with positive ratings will be awarded and the remaining shares of prize money will revert back to the author of the task.
If the task for the entire period has not received any solutions, the task is closed and the prize money is returned to the author the task. If every solution for a task has a negative rating and the author has not picked a winner, the task is closed and the prize money is returned to the author of the task.
To withdraw money from your wallet, specify the amount you would like to withdraw, then fill in your PayPal account information and click "Withdraw." The withdrawn funds, minus any YouDo and PayPal fees, will be transferred to your PayPal account within three days.
The minimum amount for withdrawal is $10
There is no commission on transferring funds from PayPal to YouDo. Your wallet will increase by exactly the amount of money transferred from your PayPal account.
When you transfer from your wallet to your PayPal account, YouDo receives 10% of the withdrawn amount as commission. PayPal may also charge a transfer fee, which usually averages 5% of the transferred amount. You can find more information about PayPal commissions here.
When you add an anonymous solution, other users of the site, including the author, will not be able to see your real information or data. When an author is choosing the task winners, he or she will not know who is hiding behind the anonymous nicknames. Only after winners are selected and the task is closed will the anonymous names change to real user names. This contributes to a fair and unbiased selection of winners.
Shared tasks are tasks that can have multiple winners. During the creation of the task, the author sets the number of winners he or she will choose for rewards at the end of the job. The prize money is divided into equal shares, one for each potential winner. When the task is completed, the author can choose to give each prize share to a different winner, or award one winner multiple shares.
Once a task has expired and its status has changed to "Author Selects Winners,” a button labeled "This is a winner" will appear next to each solution. The author should select this button next to the users he or she has chosen, then specify what share of the prize fund each winner will receive. By default, all winners receive one share.
